Another Short Norweign Saga planned itinerary

Right, this is the plan. We are flying out of Stansted on Wednesday morning at 8.35 to Rygge airport, Oslo. We have tickets for the opera.  It is the last night of Don Giovanni and starts at 7.00 pm. We are booked into the Comfort Hotel Xpress where we have stayed before.

 It will be an early rise to catch the 8.25 train out of Oslo for Bergen. We arrive at Myrdal at 12.59 when we change trains and board the 13.27 for Flam, arriving at 14.25. The cruise comes next, we board from Flam at 15.10 sailing to Gudvangen and arrive at 17.30. We are travelling by bus next to Voss departing off the boat and arriving at 18.40. The last leg is the train again leaving Voss at 19.40 and pulling into Bergen station at 21.04. We are staying at the not really Basic Hotel Bergen.

Next morning we have a little time to explore Bergen before going back to the station to catch a bus to Voss as there are engineering works on the train track. At Voss it is the train again through to Oslo, arriving at 19.25. Overnight will be the really Smarthotel Oslo.

We fly back to Stansted on Saturday leaving at 18.30 and landing back in the UK at 19.30.

It's a demanding schedule but includes world class opera in the European Building of the year 2008, two of the Greatest Train Journeys of the world, a cruise down the most scenic Fiord in Norway and three UNESCO world heritage sites.  If you want to learn more and see how we fared, you can follow this blog which will start live on 16th September and continue each day until 19th.
